Gustavo Valencia P. Now more than ever it is necessary a reflection on the film, its style, its aesthetics and the evolution of aesthetics, its subject matter and content. How it is said and what is said are still important, especially when the emphasis has shifted in recent decades only to what is said, that means, the story and nothing more; in detriment of how it is said, i.e., as well as the use and management of the filmic image, as the use of talent and ability to express itself through it. Therefore, highlight how it is said that is ultimately the filmic language, used in the art of telling a story in images, is one of the main points and higher priority in this magazine that born now. Besides in recent decades, when the analysis and study of the film is not simplified to the speculation of its narrative content, to what is said, then, it is focused from other disciplines: philosophy and film; anthropology and film; Sociology and film; psychoanalysis and film; Sociology and film; history and film; event which as such is very important for those disciplines that turn this particular phenomenon of masses into its object of study, great transmitter of ideas and cultural patterns, impossible to ignore, and therefore attempts to establish meanings in the light of their approaches. For this same reason, and perhaps to compensate the situation somewhat, it becomes important that there is an analysis of the film from the same film, i.e., in addition to its mass form and sociocultural media, is a medium whose ability to express itself is through the image of the visual talent of the person who does it, artistic abilities of that who believes, the power to talk with images, this particular filmic art generated by its another aspect (impossible to forget and to separate from its analysis): the filmic industry, with its powerful ability to globally produce millions and millions of dollars. So, film seen from the film, is to observe and always appreciate the two aspects, which do not always exist in a relationship of balance or equality, but make it up: art and industry. Only in this way can we talk about film and film, thus was created this magazine: FILM & FILM. FILM & FILM wants and aims to provide an information, or an analysis, report is to analyze (the rest is trade disguised as "information without analysis" or as this aberration presented as "unbiased information"), always contributing with criteria and elements, not epithets or simple stars that do not contribute absolutely nothing. Therefore, a study on the cinema and movies that it is not reduced to simple continuation of the comic or interpretation of the story; not reduced to fetish or "message" of the film, nor reduced to chronology and historiography, nor to the gossip, nor to ridicule of the anecdote, or attend a series of secondary and extensive news with which it is intended, vainly, hide the lack of analysis and reasoning. |
